Arrival transfer from airport/railway station in Guwahati to the hotel in Guwahati on 15th April. Next morning after breakfast you are transferred to Cherrapunjee via Shillong, en-route visit Umiam Lake. Cherrapunjee (4,400 ft.) the wettest place in the world We visit the beautiful and the tallest plunge waterfall in India known as Nohkalikai Falls. Enjoy the sight of water rushing down from 1,100 feet through the green forest into a deep waterhole which has unusually blue water like a lagoon. A short trek through some of the amazing terrain and watching a great variety of birds as we reach the entrance of Mawsmai Caves. This limestone caves have the distinction of being the only cave in Meghalaya that are lit enough to enable visitors to explore the natural formations in awe. Then, visit the Seven Sister Falls also known as 'Nohsngithiang Falls' is a seven segmented waterfall which plunges over the top of a limestone cliff. The view is spectacular which leaves one spellbound. Lastly, visit the Elephant Falls for some breathtaking views. A British officer named this falls owing to the presence of an elephant-shaped rock on one side of the falls. This rock was later destroyed due to an earthquake. At Elephanta Falls, one can get very close and enjoy its serenity. Post sightseeing, return to the hotel in Shillong, check-in & retire for the Day.
